PARTNERSHIP FOR SAFETY BETWEEN SIDPEC AND GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AND INSTITUTIONS

As part of Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company’s efforts to enhance coordination, cooperation, and integration among all governmental and societal bodies to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the community, the General Department for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection at SIDPEC organized a four-day awareness and training program for employees of the Alexandria Sanitation Company, in cooperation with the Alexandria Directorate of Manpower. The program, in its first phase, targeted 85 employees working at the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Alexandria Sanitation Company. The initiative was held under the patronage and supervision of: • Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim – Chairman and Managing Director of SIDPEC • Major General Mahmoud Nafea – Chairman of the Alexandria Sanitation Company • Eng. Mohamed Kamal – Deputy Director of the Alexandria Directorate of Manpower • Dr Chemist Mohamed Ali El-Masry – Assistant Chairman of SIDPEC for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection The program included both theoretical and practical lectures on: • Confined space entry and rescue procedures • Work permit systems • Acquiring skills in occupational health and safety • Reducing the recurrence of major incidents • Methods for response and the proper use of protective and rescue equipment This initiative falls within the framework of SIDPEC’s commitment to public safety and its role in fostering environmental awareness and community responsibility.
