SIDI KERIR PETROCHEMICALS COMPANY (SIDPEC) HAS UNDERTAKEN THE REHABILITATION OF 33 HOUSES IN THE VILLAGES OF ABU SIMBEL AND KARNAK IN THE RENAISSANCE AREA OF ALEXANDRIA

Following the announcement of the "A Decent Life" presidential initiative by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to enhance the quality of life for the most vulnerable communities in rural and urban slum areas throughout the Republic, and in accordance with the directives issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to enhance the living conditions and daily life of communities within the operational scope of companies. The sector has aligned with the three dimensions of development—social, economic, and environmental—embracing the concept of development outlined in the petroleum sector's social responsibility strategy. This alignment seeks to achieve the principles and objectives of sustainable development in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. In the presence and with the support of His Excellency, Engineer Tarek El Molla, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Sidi Kerir Petrochemical Company (SIDPEC) has successfully delivered 33 fully rehabilitated and furnished houses to deserving recipients from the villages of Abu Simbel and Karnak in the Nahda area, bringing the total count of rehabilitated houses to 100. This achievement was realized through a collaborative protocol between the company and Dar Al Orman Association, which boasts extensive experience in this field. The General Administration of Social Responsibility at SIDPEC has embraced a comprehensive and integrated vision for strategic projects aimed at achieving sustainable development in its entirety, aligning with the evolving needs of the community. Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim, President of SIDPEC, underscored that this rehabilitation project aligns with the plans set forth by the Supreme Committee for Community Development within the petroleum sector. Furthermore, it follows the ongoing efforts of the Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company to provide secure housing that ensures a decent quality of life for citizens. This initiative has not only established decent living conditions for residents in the neediest villages but has also brought smiles to their faces as they witness their dreams materialize, bolstering their capacity to confront societal challenges. The fourth phase of house deliveries was attended by Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of SIDPEC, General /Mamdouh Shaaban, Director-General of Dar Al-Orman Association, Chemist /Salah Riad, Assistant President of the Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company responsible for Quality, Safety, and Occupational Health, Engineer Medhat Shaaban, Assistant CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation for Social Responsibility, and Mr. Morsi Salah Eissa, General Director of Social Responsibility. The event was also graced by the presence of SIDPEC Company's leadership and Dar Al Orman Association's representatives. During the ceremony, Major General Mamdouh Shaaban emphasized that this endeavor is an extension of the fruitful and constructive collaboration between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Dar Al Orman Association. The current accomplishment signifies a genuine milestone and a culmination of dedicated efforts to provide a decent life for the residents of the Nahda region, aligning seamlessly with the vision and strategy for building the new republic, as outlined in Egypt's Vision 2030.
