within the framework of supporting the advanced technical education system, linking it to industrial needs, and highlighting its role in preparing qualified human resources capable of meeting the demands of the modern labor market, the SIDPEC Applied Technology School received a high-level official visit. The visit was attended by Chemist / Mohamed Zakaria Al-Afandi, Chairman of SIDPEC; Dr. Amr Bosila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Unit for the Operation and Management of Applied Technology Schools; Mrs. Shaimaa Mamdouh, Deputy Head of the same unit; Dr. Nevine El-Nahhas, Head of Al-Amriya District; and Chemist/ Ahmed Mowakea, Chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Company, accompanied by a number of SIDPEC senior executives. The visit began inside the SIDPEC company premises, where the delegation inspected the General Administration of Polyethylene Laboratories, Research and Studies, in order to follow up on the training process and observe the students’ integration within the Gas and Physical Properties Laboratory, the Final Products and Applications Laboratory, and the Chemical Properties Laboratory. The delegation then visited the school to monitor the educational process, the workshops, and the laboratories equipped with the latest technological systems, in addition to the language laboratory, computer lab, solar power station, and sports fields. They reviewed the technical equipment and infrastructure and their role in creating specialized educational pathways based on full integration between theoretical study and practical training in accordance with international quality standards. This contributes to graduating highly qualified technicians who possess efficiency, skill, and professional discipline, especially in vital industrial sectors, including the petrochemical sector. This comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to maximize participation in sustainable economic development and support priority sectors, particularly technical education and training, in line with Egypt Vision 2030, and in accordance with SIDPEC’s commitment to its social responsibility and national role in supporting specialized technical education and investing in human capital. For his part, Dr Amr Bosila expressed his appreciation of the advanced standard of the infrastructure and technical facilities he observed, as well as his admiration for the students — both male and female — for their commitment, discipline, and high level of technical and technological competence, particularly among those in the third year of secondary education. He emphasized that the school reflects a clear vision of integration between state institutions and the industrial sector, and represents a successful model of applied technology schools capable of achieving a genuine qualitative transformation in the technical education system and linking it directly to the needs of the labour market. He also affirmed that the school is well positioned to be among the first international schools within the Applied Technology Schools Unit.
