Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company "SIDPEC" was keen to participate in the activities of EGY PLAST 2026, the largest specialized exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries in the Middle East and North Africa, held from 09 January 2026 to 12 January 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo. The exhibition brings together under one roof a distinguished group of the world’s leading technology companies alongside regional manufacturers and local producers, thereby reinforcing Egypt’s leading position as a regional industrial and commercial hub. SIDPEC consistently strives to contribute to achieving national objectives by providing high value-added products for various applications of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which is widely relied upon by many downstream and complementary industries. This is achieved while implementing the latest advanced process control systems, complying with quality standards, optimizing energy consumption, and adhering to international and local environmental laws, regulations, and standards. "Egyptene" is the trademark of SIDPEC’s products, well-recognized in the petrochemical industry for their high quality and strong competitiveness in both international and local markets. SIDPEC’s products meet the needs of numerous plastic industries in the domestic market, in addition to being exported to many countries worldwide, contributing to increasing Egyptian exports and supporting the national economy. SIDPEC’s participation in such international and regional exhibitions represents an important opportunity to communicate with major global companies and investors to explore cooperation opportunities and strategic partnerships. This supports the company’s plans for expansion into target markets, increases the added value of its products, and enhances the competitiveness of Egyptian products in global markets. It also provides an interactive platform with visitors through addressing their inquiries and engaging in discussions on various marketing and technical fields. On the sidelines of the exhibition, SIDPEC Chairman, Chemist Mohamed Zakaria, participated in a panel discussion entitled "The Future of the Plastics Sector in the Middle East and North Africa." This participation reflects the company’s commitment to active presence in regional and international forums, the exchange of expertise, and contribution to shaping future visions that support the development of the plastics sector in the Middle East and North Africa. This aligns with the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and its working pillars aimed at maximizing the added value of the nation’s resources and achieving sustainable development. A distinguished group of SIDPEC professionals also took part in the technical conference held alongside the exhibition. The conference addressed topics of interest to professionals in the petrochemical and plastics industries, including a study on the impact of using chemical additives on energy consumption during HDPE injection molding processes, the effect of UV stabilizers on the mechanical properties of polyethylene, the integration of artificial intelligence with Advanced Process Control (APC) systems in polyethylene plants, and the production of chemically cross-linked polyethylene using poly-pyrogallol.
